Application

A flow limiter developed to limit the discharge rate into overflow tanks, buffer tanks, sewage and stormwater pipework systems to a precalculated and defined maximum discharge capacity.

Innovative “vortex valve”

RigoLimit V is so special because the shaft body itself is used as vortex valve element. The tangential inflow of the water into the shaft body generates a vortex that creates a self-regulating reduction in the discharge rate due to the hydraulic resistance. The large cross-section of the orifice minimises the risk of clogging. The energy and the cleaning effect of the water vortex also prevents the discharge opening from becoming clogged. If the demands on the discharge change, for example, the catchment area is extended, the orifice can be easily replaced so that the discharge capacity can be subsequently adapted.

Ready-to-use

The shaft is delivered to the site completely ready-to-connect and fully functional. The maximum orifice opening is already set to a predetermined maximum discharge capacity.

RigoLimit V is suitable for limiting the discharge rate into overflow tanks, buffer tanks, combined and stormwater pipework systems to a predetermined and defined maximum discharge capacity.

Maintenance

For maintenance or emergency drainage, the orifice can be removed and reinstalled from the surface.
